Trip-rock instrumental – Wrote this song 6 months ago, and recently gave up trying to write lyrics and vocal melodies for it, as nothing worked. I thought, “Maybe this is supposed to be an instrumental. If so, it needs a 3.5 minute guitar solo!” So I invited my good friend James Raynor, who owns far more PRS guitars than I do, and he transformed the song into a real jam. https://soundcloud.com/vancouvermatt/foreshadowing
I used the Neural DSP Tim Henson plugin on the synth-sounding intro guitar part. It has an effect called “Shimmer,” which makes this lush, swirling keyboard sound that I’ve never gotten out of a guitar before. Very fun to play with. Hope you like.
Featuring James Raynor on lead guitar – he’s panned right in the mix.
